As time passes in the Land of the Lost, Annie, the youngest member of the Porter family - and the only female - begins to feel somewhat unimportant and neglected.
In one episode, "The Crystal", Annie accidentally stumbles onto Shung's power crystal sword. These crystals give Annie supernatural powers - not all of which are good. She comes to rely on these powers, thinking that she is better and stronger, but the powers of the crystals start to change her personality to evil.
Eventually, Annie uses the powers of the sword to defeat the evil Shung. At the same time, she realizes that her family really does loves her and considers her "special" just the way she is - without the help of the evil Magic Crystals.
