"Sculpted by Gabriel Marquez, Deadpool--a.k.a. Wade Wilson--is the infamous "Merc with a Mouth." His career as a mercenary began while still in his late teens, when he became a test subject in Department K's branch of the joint US/Canadian superhuman enhancement project, better known as the "Weapon X" program. Horribly scarred and slightly insane due to the super-soldier process that bestowed him with an accelerated healing factor, Deadpool has become one of the Marvel Universe's favorite loud-mouthed, smart-alecky, super-assassins/mercenaries!"
This figure has twenty-two points of articulation and two katanas that can sheath on his back. The katana sheaths can also be used by his twin sais, and Wade also carries two pistols with hip holsters and an M16. His base is two piece and the figure has many small details. The paint is applied in many places as well.
In the Marvel Universe, Deadpool is a mercenary who is a member of Weapon X and the X-Force alongside Wolverine, Fantomex, Nightcrawler, Warpath, Psylocke, X-23, and Archangel, and also has frequent encounters with Wolverine's son Daken, as well as Domino, Taskmaster, and Cable, the founder of the X-Force who left the team. Deadpool thinks in "Little yellow boxes," as he puts it, and also has two voices in his head that advise him in decisions. Part of his mental illness is the fact that he has an obsession with chimichangas, and does many random, destructive, and pointless things. However, he does have morals and will never kill children. In Deadpool #50 it is revealed that he desires death, even though this is nearly impossible because of his healing factor.
