Cyndi Montgomery's powers first manifested themselves when she was a teenager defending herself from her abusive stepmother. She possesses pyrokenisis, the ability to generate and control heat and flame, and by manipulating air currents can also glide. Inheriting a vast fortune, Cyndi decided to dress as a dominatrix and kill criminals while hiding her identity by calling herself, um, Cynder. Sort of like that "Superman puts on glasses and nobody knows him" trick, except with a black leather corset.
