KPR security droids are used to monitor perimeters and maintain security devices. During their scavenging for lost and abandoned equipment, the Jawas find one of these droids and offer it for sale at moisture farms on Tatooine.

2X-7KPR ("Tooex" was a green domed KPR servant droid offered by the Jawa tribe lead by Nebit to Owen Lars in the same auction where he bought C-3PO and R2-D2.

The droid was stolen from Jabba Desilijic Tiure and was capable of monitoring floodlights and perimeters at Imperial Outposts. It was also capable of maintaining security devices.
