Using a radiation-draining device, Dr. Leonard Samson sought to cure Bruce Banner of his transformations into the Hulk. Unsuccessful, Samson later used the siphoned gamma energy and exposed himself to a portion of the Hulk's power. Becoming permanently endowed with amazing physical abilities, Doc Samson has dedicated himself to ending Banner's nightmarish dual existence as the Hulk.
