Nord's wrestling journey kicked off in the mid-1980s when he burst onto the scene as "The Barbarian." Trained by Eddie Sharkey, Nord made his mark in Mid-South Wrestling, captivating audiences with his raw power and intensity. Managed by the cunning Skandor Akbar, The Barbarian left a trail of destruction in his wake, establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with. His ferocity and skills in the ring caught the attention of promotions worldwide, including a stint in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, where he further honed his craft.
In the early 1990s, Nord ventured into the World Wrestling Federation, donning the persona of The Berzerker. The Berzerker became a larger-than-life character, having an impact like a truck. Embodying an eccentric and cartoonish Icelandic Norseman he was an stiff object, like a rock. He aligned with Mr. Fuji because he ikes evil people. Known for his unique method of winning matches by tossing opponents over the top rope, The Berzerker's wrestling style was described as if he took the soul of his opponents and ripped them apart. He participated in marquee events like the Survivor Series and the Royal Rumble, engaging in memorable clashes with the likes of The Undertaker. The Berzerker's final WWF match was in a 15 man battle royal on the fifth episode of Monday Night Raw.
