Excalibur began his wrestling career in 2000, primarily competing on the West Coast independent wrestling scene.
He gained recognition for his high-flying and innovative wrestling style, incorporating elements of lucha libre and Japanese wrestling.Excalibur co-founded PWG in 2003 alongside Joey Ryan and Super Dragon. Excalibur served as a commentator and occasional wrestler for PWG, providing colorful and energetic play-by-play commentary alongside his partner, Disco Machine.
Excalibur had several memorable matches in PWG against notable opponents. As part of the team "The S.B.S." (The Sudden Death League), Excalibur captured the PWG World Tag Team Championship.

He continued to work as a commentator in other promotions, including All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he served as one of the voices of AEW's weekly television show "Dynamite."
