Ioz is a fortune hunter and pirate warrior who will do anything for a handful of gold. For a time, Ioz was a member of Bloth's nasty crew of cutthroat pirates. Always seeking an easy way to pocket a fast profit, Ioz teamed up with Ren, a naïve boy seeking buried treasure.

Upon learning that Ren was actually on a quest for the mythological Thirteen Treasures of Rule, Ioz became infuriated, but was gradually won over by Ren's integrity and goodness.. He soon became one of Ren's greatest allies. Ioz is a fierce fighter, a fast thinker with a quick temper, and one who fears no one, not even the dreaded pirate lord Bloth.
