Mantus is Bloth's cruel and cold hearted second-in-command. His precise calculated planning of battle strategies pilots Bloth and his crew in and out of numerous sticky situations. He is a gambler and likes to bet with the crewmen on the success of Bloth's adventures. Mantus rarely loses a bet.

Distrusting even his closest friends, Mantus has his gold and booty carried by an alien slave who stays with him at all times. He uses excessive force when carrying out the pirate lord's despicable orders. Though he enjoys taking risks, he is always well aware of the dangers that lurk around him, especially Bloth!
