Description:

Christa often finds that she does not understand the Porters. While she enjoys their company and friendship, she often likes to spend time alone, or with her friend, Stink.

The Porters are all fascinated by the mysterious jungle girl. Annie needs to have a close friendship with another girl, and envies Christa her seemingly carefree life. Annie learns that Christa's life is not so easy since she must feed and clothe herself, using only the resources of the land.

Kevin is very attracted to Christa. Christa only asks that he respect her privacy.
