Here you go... https://www.figurerealm.com/customtutor ... view&id=91

Perdonally I've never had much luck cracking open torsos without causing a good amount of damage, maybe about 25-30% of the ones I've attempted are reuseable afterwards, but that could be because I get impatient and I'm usually cracking it for the arms to use on another figure. My best results have been when I've taken my time.
Pin less joint disassembly in Custom Workstation by Daremo
Friday, October 21, 2022
   [Edit]
Hi everyone, I am trying to swap legs on a newer Mattel WWE Elite and noticed there are no pins. There is also a lack of any tutorial on the Net for this. I am sure some experienced customizer has already done it.......[See More]

Over the past year or so Marvel Legends figures have also started using "pinless" joints, just saw someone recently post a custom and comment on it, saying they were unable to find any info on disassembly as well.
Mezco 15” King Kong head casts?? in Custom Workstation by okkustoms
Monday, December 26, 2022
   [Edit]
Curious if anyone has heard of the Mezco’s 2005 Peter Jackson King Kong heads being cast anywhere? There were 3 variants with different heads (figure the same otherwise). The roaring one is the easiest to find (k.o.’s on AliExpress for around $50), but the other versions go for $300+ typically these days. Seems like a natural candidate to do head swaps on.

Heads can be seen here: https://images.app.goo.gl/XsWjW7EXay6EmK28A...[See More]
Unworthy Thor thoughts in Custom Workstation by Superadam10
Monday, November 28, 2022
   [Edit]
First post. I’ve been thinking for a while on how you could piece together an Unworthy Thor figure with minimal extra work. I’m not really a customizer, don’t have the tools or knowledge but just by looking at figures and piecing together in my head I wanted to see if any of the experienced customizers had some thoughts.

I’m thinking using a Ragnarok figure as a base for the wrapped legs, removing the knee pad, swapping the head ( really like the old man Hawkeye someone used for a Thor), swap out the arm if there’s something comparable size wise. I think I fall short at the belt part, but otherwise it seems like mainly paint would get it c...[See More]

Modification advice for ML Firelord? in Custom Workstation by Dormammu-1976
Tuesday, October 25, 2022
   [Edit]
I called Hasbro to complain. The newly released Firelord is amazing in every way except one - the hands do not hold his staff tightly. It slips back and forth. I swear, I wonder if Hasbro has any quality control department left. Does anyone know of a way to modify the hands to that it can tightly grip the staff? I want a fix so I can pose him various ways. So I can't just glue it in place. I'm wondering if it's possible in some way to beef up the inside of the hands with hot glue melt? Or perhaps another figure would have hands I can swap out?...[See More]

Thanks, I'll try that. What is a good brand of putty to use?

You can try heating them up, pressing it in to a shape you want, then immediately dip in ice cold water.
Hands are often more rubbery than other limbs.
Or, you can try the "beef up" method with a ball of apoxie clay and then put the staff in while it's still wet to create a groove in the hand 4 the staff. Lmk how it goes!

Thursday, September 8, 2022
   [Edit]
Real simple, I am working on a project, but i noticed that the head sculpts i acquired dont fit well on the neck of the base figures. The neck just looks too fat for the head sculpt. The base figures are neca terminator figures. Im curious on what would be the best way to sorta thin out the necks a bit to make the heads sit and look a bit better?...[See More]
