Man-Bat (Albino)
DC Super Heroes (Mattel) - Exclusives
Rated 4.50 stars by Tom-Tom
Way, way back at Toyfair ’07, fans of Mattel’s DC Superheroes line were given a treat to two of the most anticipated figures in the line: Clayface and Man-Bat, and in April, we were shown pictures of the cardbacks featuring the figures and a few others. Of course, the more time went on, the more things changed. In the Clayface wave, re-releases from overseas were featured: Bruce to Batman, Nightwing, and the Joker were added in as a substitute for Man-Bat, who became a San Diego Comic Con exclusive. Dr. Kirk Langstrom, a scientist specializing in the study of bats, develops an extract intended to give humans the bat's Sonar sense and tests the formula on himself because he is becoming deaf. While it works, it has a horrible side effect: it transforms him gradually into a hideous...[See More]

Captain America (Golden Age)
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Queen Brood Series
Rated 4.50 stars by Tom-Tom

With the announcement of HML3, fans wondered why we needed another Captain America. And for good reason, we’ve already gotten two from the mainstream universe and one from the Ultimate Universe. However, with this Cap, Hasbro tries something new. Umm, something old. A bit of both actually. On the day Steve Rogers walked into an Army recruiting office in New York City, he was just a scrawny art student desperate for a way to serve his country. Rejected outright by the recruiter because of his limited physical limitations, Steve was offered a chance to take part in a top-secret program that turned him into the super soldier known as Captain America. Armed with enhanced strength, reflexes and an indestructible shield, he battles injustice, tyranny and fear wherever it is found. He is the...[See More]

Elephant / Ostrich / Zebra
Lion King (Mattel) - I Just Can't Wait To Be King Friends
Rated 5.00 stars by Tom-Tom
Ugh, I can't remember the last time I reviewed something. Anyway, Steel was released in Series 5 of Mattel’s DCSH line, alongside an Orange Doomsday, Blue Supergirl (if anyone can get me this figure, I would owe you my life!), Parasite, Bizarro, and Superman rereleases. Now, down to business. Steel stands about 6.5” tall, putting his height around that of Batman or Superman. While most people thought Steel was going to be a repaint of Superman, he turns out to be an all new sculpt. Well, mostly. The upper-legs appear to be re-used from Azrael, but as always in DCSH, if they re-use parts, they give us a kick -butt accessory. Series 3 Batman re-used Superman’s tights (no snickering, please), and he got like 7 batarangs! Steel gets his kick-butt hammer, it’s sculpted with technological...[See More]

Clayface
Batman - Extreme Power (Mattel) - Basic Series
Rated 3.50 stars by Tom-Tom
About a year ago, the batman line was revamped into Batman: EXP. The first new villain for the line was Clayface, the focus of this review. packaging- basic. it showed off the figure, instructed you on how to use the feature, showed the other figures in the line, and explained the EXP line. it met the checklist, but not very well. I saw a few at wal*mart on clearance, but the backer cards were horribly out of shape. sculpt- easily the best part about the figure. his feet are wide, messed up stars, while the rest of his body is almost symmetrical: its similar, but not perfect. thats just fine for clayface, id be outraged if he was perfectly symmetrical (looking at you BTAS version). There is some clay baggage near his happy place, reassuring us this is a boy clayface. his left arm is...[See More]
Doomsday
DC Super Heroes (Mattel) - Series 2
Rated 4.50 stars by Tom-Tom
About 13 years ago, the badass Doomsday appeared and (long story short) killed Superman. Some people think you can't be a comic fan (even if it's Marvel) without knowing this. Then basically nothing. He has appeared since then, but nothing was as dramatic since, he hasn't re-killed Supes. Oh well. Doomsday has had only 4 action figures so far: Hasbro made one about 11 years ago, DCD in 2003, this version (DCSH) and another by Mattel last September for JLU. Onto the review! Sculpt- I don't care what you say, this is not a scaled down figure of DCD's. He has a few differences, but they are not the same! Okay, goosfraba. His main body is made out of hard plastic, while the face (he has a head underneath) and spikes/bones are rubber, for the little ones. His sculpt works pretty well with...[See More]

Yeah, the shoulders are a pain in the arse sometimes, I had to trim off some of the little spikes to let the shoulders move all around. The feet on mine are to frikkin annoying, they''re angled (as you can see in the review picture) and refuse to change
You can review any figure you want in this place, wether reviewed already or not, the more the merrier. I like reading other people''s gripes and praise, I get tired of writing sometimes

Heh, yeah I submitted most of the loose DCSH and ML pictures. Captain Coder has a bunch of pictures in storage but he''s waiting for the few pictures needed to fully complete a series before posting it in the Galleries.
Attack Armor Batman? That sounds like it will look so damn cool
