Aragorn (Arrow Launching) Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring (Toy Biz)This was my first ever Lord if the Rings Figure and I loved it, but even as a child I had my issues with it. I can see what they were going for with the likeness but it comes off a bit more like Sloth from the Goonies than strider. Also a common thing I've motives on this figure is the straps that attach the sheath to the belt are often warped backwards and a bit melted as well as his tunic being stuck to his trousers inhibiting the movement. The best thing about this figure is the accessories as this is the only Aragorn you get a bow and arrows with a working quiver, but the quiver looks like more of a golf bag due to its need to hold arrows with big soft rubber nerf ends. The sword is a decent size it’s just often warped and coloured grey not silver and the bow is just a cheap plastic look with no detail but it does work and has that older style of slotting an arrow in a ring hole to pull back and fire so it’s more a kid friendly fearfure. Aragorn can hold his bow well and is basically in a firing pose due to his limited articulation but his right arm is a bit more moveable with a sort of ball hinge at the arm, swivel below, single joint elbow and swivel wrist and he can hold his sword but awkwardly with his ring and pinky fingers. Overall I do feel very nostalgic about this figure but it does have its issues. It’s a fun first version of Aragorn with an ok likeness depending on the paint apps but we got better versions later on thankfully so this ones for accessories if you lack them. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
