Psylocke Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) (Toy Biz)I really hate getting my hopes up with new Marvel Legends figures because they keep letting everyone down with useless and incomprehensible modifications to what could otherwise be perfect figure. Psylocke: perfect example. Not only is she short (even though she's supposed to be 6 feet tall, same height as almost everyone else) but her fingers and boot-tips aren't hinged. I can ignore the boot-hinges but why mess with the fingers? I'm glad the sculptors are making new and improved hand poses but please, keep the articulation! These guys managed to give Shadowcat's tiny hands a finger-hinge, and made it look good, so I'm sure they could have made Psylocke's hands articulated. Also, the hips are ball-sockets. Usually these types of hips have an ugly, or at the very least a "unique" sculpt, and this one is no exception. Betsy stands about 5.75 inches tall. I like this hair-sculpt, it's slick ad flowing at the same time and reaches down to the small of her back. It's black and sloppily highlighted with lavender. I don't know what to make of her face, should I be pleased or disappointed? I've seen Psylocke's face drawn in so many different styles that I don't know what she's supposed to look like anymore. This face looks alright, with red lips and intense blue eyes outlined with black. She looks slightly Asian. The body is fine, very petite, she's just too short. The suit is sloppily shaded though, very patchy. The gloves and boots have some wrinkles in them for detail and she has a red sash around her waist. This sash is made of stiff plastic and has two trailers flaring permanently upwards and back over her left hip. Why, I don't know, but the trailers look unnatural like that. The feet are a just a smidge too long. The paint-job on the entire figure, especially the bikini area, will differ greatly from figure to figure, look carefully before you buy (and try not to let anyone catch you doing it). Also, you'd think they would at least sculpt on of her hands in a fist so she could use her psychic knife- oh wait, SHE DOESN'T HAVE A PSYCHIC KNIFE. Both hands are in a permanent ninja-esque position (Which would actually look awesome on a Jean Grey custom). Psylocke has most ML articulation, including a mid-section pivot and a pivoting waist as well. That sounds great right? but actually having them both be pivots makes posing her upper-body a pain, but if you can master it, she gets some cool poses (and if these joints ever get loose, you're screwed). A backdrop (printed on the card), a comic, and a BAF Mojo piece is included in the package, but no psychic blade. At least now you have some more female fodder :) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I bought mine from this really rip off place. They sell spiderman 3 toys for 24.99 cdn so this was a good price and she wasn''t available anywhere else.
I''m chopping her up and turning her into a sarah connor figure.
xD
Here she is with other X-Men, she is shorter, not 6 feet tall. You have to remember that with this scale of figure 1in = 1ft.
