Write a Review link for that item. JSA (DC Direct)I'm not going to get into the zillion different incarnations of Hawkgirl, let's get on with the review! Kendra stands about 6.5 inches without the helmet, and yes, it is removable! Looks pretty good too, not bulky or fat. It has brown and black and green and orange, I really hate these colors on Hawkgirl (and Hawkman too), the suit looks so outdated, but what are ya gonna do. The figure has a matte-finish for the most part, the red areas are still a little shiny, and the clothing has a subtle metallic sheen. I'm impressed with the paint apps on this one, it looks exactly like it did in DC's promotional pictures. Not only paint but the sculpt is great too, there are strategic wrinkles to give the illusion of skin-tight clothing. The head-sculpt is great, the hair is fantastic, but the eyes...they're bug-eyed! They stick-out a tad too much so when viewed from the side...they're just gross! The wings are beautiful as always, I just wish they were shaded some more. And yes, they're slightly poseable, they can tilt around but nothing too dramatic. I love this mace. It's the tri-starred variety for double the intimidation and triple the pain. She can only hold it in the right hand though, the left hand is in an awkward position, I can't remember the last time I EVER had my hand in that position, maybe it's a girl thing... Articulation is alright, nothing special: Ball-socket neck and shoulders, hinged knees and elbows, swiveled wrists and hips, a whopping 11 POA! 13 if you count the wings! The hips are swiveled at an angle along the bikini-line, so you can get a cool kicking pose out of her, or a good...well, just see the pictures I'll post in this review's topic, hah. I got this figure loose without the belt, so I can't tell you how awesome it is. She did have a nifty JSA base with 10 peg-holes so you can choose where to place the peg! And guess what! None of the holes are in a decent position! You can't stand her in the center of the base, she will always be slightly askew. That's fine though, you can use her wings to stand her solidly because they are so long that they reach the floor.   by Henchmen4Hire |
