Crash. Once a normal bandicoot, he was mutated into something new by the evil Doctor Neo Cortex. Seizing upon an opportunity, crash escaped from the evil doctors clutches and fled to one of the three islands under the doctor's ownership, N. Sanity Island. Here he pledged himself to a goal. He would do all he could to stop the doctor's evil experiments, cleanse the islands of his control and free Tawna, a fellow mutated creature who Crash had grown fond of.
